I first read about the Solar Joos Orange in a Wired magazine round up of portable solar power chargers. They liked it the best of the group they covered. I agree. I think it is one of the most sophisticated, well thought out and all around useful portable solar chargers I have seen. Rugged enough to actually use outdoors regularly, and im pretty confident that it will give great service for years; especially since the battery pack is replaceable. Mindlessly easy to use, but if you insist you can get your geek on by plugging into your Internet connected pc to watch it do it’s thing in real-time. The only negative is that at two pounds it ain’t light. But this is the fault of the current state of the art of solar panel and battery technology NOT the Solar Joos.
